Twitter: Check What Devices Are Logged Into Your Account

Like most people I bet you’ve had a few phones, laptops and tablets on your time. Sometimes you might sell these on or pass them onto friends and family without wiping them or clearing down the apps and software on them.

Maybe your device was unlocked and stolen or (and we seriously hope you didn’t do this one…) maybe you logged into Twitter from device you don’t own; a friends computer or even someone’s mobile phone you met on holiday when you needed to contact friends…

Even if you haven’t had any of these situations it’s always a good idea to check which devices are logged into your social media account.

With Twitter it’s not particularly easy to find this setting on your mobile device, but we are here to help. From the settings menu go to:

Settings and Privacy > Account > Your Twitter Data > Your Data > Devices

devices logged into twitter

This allows you to see what devices are accessing your Twitter account. If you see any devices that you don’t recognise – then change your password immediately.

This feature also identifies web browsers you have used to login to Twitter. While its never a good idea to login to any social media account from a shared computer, you’ve probably done it at work or in the office. if you do, remember to always log out from Twitter and not just close the tab, browser or just log out of the computer just doing that is never enough to securely log you out of any social network.

After all of that…(and if you still can without worrying too much…) Have Fun !
